The Museum of Ceramic Art, Hyogo

Opened in 2005, this is a museum that specializes in ceramics. It aims to inherit and promote Hyogo Prefecture’s culture of ceramics, which traces its roots back to the Heian period. The museum houses and exhibits approximately 3,000 pieces of both ancient and modern ceramic creations from Japan and abroad, including Tambayaki. The museum’s architecture is in harmony with the rich natural landscape, and visitors can feel a uniquely Japanese aesthetic sense here.
